As we know the West Africa examination council (WAEC) released the results of the BECE 2020 candidates on 16/12/2020. Almost all the candidates that sat for the examination have checked and have access to their results. Candidates who have passed the exams are now awaiting placement.

Steps On How To Check BECE 2020School Placement

As usual, to check your placement institution, you need to buy the placement checker card. This card is what will help you have access to the placement institution.

How To Buy The SHS Placement Checker Card

You can buy the placement checker using your mobile money wallet balance. There are two options involves in buying the card using the mobile money account. These two options are:

OPTION 1: Buying WAEC results from checkers using shortcode *920*44#.

You can buy 1 up to 5 WAEC checkers by simply dialing the shortcode *920*44# and follow the rest of the process to complete the purchase. After a successful purchase, the checkers will be delivered instantly via SMS to your phone.

OPTION 2: Buying WAEC results in checkers online.

You can buy WAEC checkers in bulk online and print them instantly by simply following the instructions below:

First, visit this page

Once you are on the page, you scroll down to the bottom of the page and will see the placement checker purchase form. Fill the fields in the form and click on “pay”.

After a successful payment, the SHS placement checker will be displayed for you to download and print them in bulk.

Guide On How to Check the Placement After Getting The Checker

After a successful purchase of the card, the next thing to do is to head over to the CSSPS results checker online portal

Once you’re on the page, you will see the details below:

You first Enter your 10-digits BECE index number, after that you will need to “Add” the last two digits of the year of examination. Let’s say your index number is 0010891010. Then when you are to check the placement, you are going to enter the index number in this format “001089101019″. The bolded “19” indicates the year of examination.

Now look at the checker you bought, you will see the serial number. Enter the Card Serial Number found on the top of your Scratch card.

Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card.

Confirm the details and once you are sure all the details are correct, you then Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up.

Now, if you have been placed by the CSSPS, the print page will also be displayed for you to print and have the hard copy.

What to do if you have not been placed

Previously, candidates who have not been placed by the CSSPS portal are given the option to place themselves in the public available schools in their prospective districts or regions. So if you have the minimum placement requirement but were not placed by the system, we believe you will also be given the opportunity to place yourself.

How to get the school of your choice, should in case you are to place yourself

The best way to get to the school of your choice is to check your placement early. Make sure you waste no time once the placement checking started. This will help you know your status earlier and if there is a need to place yourself you can do that and get the available school before they get full.
